Cutthroat Throat Trout River Work
-Upper Hermosa Creek-

Restoration of native Cutthroat Trout to the upper 23 miles of Hermosa Creek has been a decade long project for the US Forest Service. A J Construction was involved in multiple phases of work. This included constructing an in-stream fish barrier with rock. The 6' drop structure required reworking the creek bed's grade above and below barrier.

The following season required work to isolate the creek into a single channel of flow, up stream of barrier. A final season saw bank stabilization and in-stream habitat work.
